Crackdown of Satta nets in line 2 at Jabalpur

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Two bookmakers have been arrested in a crackdown by Jabalpur police on Satta (betting) online overnight from Thursday to Friday. Police have been informed that Satta Online is operated from room no. 203 and 204 of the RK tower. Two bookmakers Manoj Sanpal and Deepak Rajak have been arrested while two others Vivek Pandey and Amit Sharma are still at large.

Acting on the information, Superintendent of Police (SP) Jabalpur, Siddharth Bahuguna sent a team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Crime Prabhat Shukla to the location mentioned by the informant. Cops arrested Manoj Sanpal and Deepak Rajak after raiding the place.

When questioned, they said that Amit Sharma and Vivek Pandey had gone elsewhere. They also informed the police that Amit Sharma and Vivek Pandey are handling the IPL betting money for Azam and Satish Sanpal. The money they received from wagers was kept in the almirah’s locker.

Searching it revealed Rs 21,55,600, 27 seals of different companies, three loan books, 7 notepads in which accounts of betting transactions were written, 34 check books and property related papers etc. have been found.

SP Bahuguna informed income tax officials who are looking for speculative money by bookmaker Satish Sanpal in benami businesses. It stays overseas and operates satta online through Open Web, SET Sports, Mumbai Exchange, SET Casino and bets on all types of sports through bookmakers. They are from all over the country whose payments are made online and their identities are not disclosed. Deposits in corporate accounts and betting-related transactions are carried out by collection agents.
