SSS adds more security measures to its online portal

The Social Security System (SSS) said it has introduced more security measures in the My.SSS portal.

In a statement posted to the agency’s Facebook page on Friday, May 6, SSS President and CEO Michael G. Regino said the additional measures will ensure member, employee and user accounts are protected. retirees.

SSS members are now required to upload a proof of disbursement account, a valid government-issued ID card or document, and a chest level selfie/photo containing the uploaded proof of disbursement account and a ID card/a document when registering their disbursement account in the disbursement. “We continuously monitor our systems to make necessary improvements to protect the accounts of our stakeholders and to ensure that profits and loans are paid to the rightful beneficiaries. During this month, the Online Member Data Change Request – Update Contact Information will also be picked up through the My.SSS portal with enhanced security features,” Regino said.

He also reminded the public to avoid sharing their login credentials and passwords with anyone.

“These are like your ATM PIN and anyone with that information could use your account without your permission,” he said.

SSS is also ready to file the necessary measures against anyone who attempts or has ever defrauded its customers.
